Reaffirms Automated’s 40 Years’ Excellence in IT Services For Local Business And Corporate Social Responsibility

(Hong Kong, 17 April 2013) – Automated Systems Holdings Limited (“ASL” or “the Group”) (HKEx stock code: 771), a leading information technology (IT) services provider in the region, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Automated Systems (HK) Limited (‘Automated’) and Guangzhou Automated Systems Limited (a subsidiary of Automated) has received four prestigious accolades in total for its outstanding IT solutions and services, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. The awards reaffirm Automated’s contribution to the business and local community over the past 40 years.
The awards recently received are the “Best Lifestyle Silver Award” under the Hong Kong ICT Awards which is supported by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO), Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC); the “Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme Gold Award” by the OGCIO and the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC); the “Caring Company Award” by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) and the “Outstanding Volunteer Scheme – Enterprise Caring Award” by the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council.

Automated’s subsidiary, Guangzhou Automated Systems Limited, received the Best Lifestyle (Social, Communications & Media) Silver Award under the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2013 through its turnkey mobile queuing system for Genki Sushi and sen-ryo, two popular Japanese restaurant chains of Maxim’s Caterers Limited. The system seamlessly integrated applications, mobility and GPS for Genki Sushi and sen-ryo’s 55 branches in Hong Kong, bringing a new dining experience for consumers in the marketplace. The system helps enhance Genki and sen-ryo’s brand image, increase business volume and improve customer relationship management. It is a significant encouragement to Automated’s business applications development team for further working on a wide range of innovative IT solutions catered to diverse customers’ demand.
Established in 2006, the Hong Kong ICT Awards recognize, promote and commend the excellent achievements to which Hong Kong ICT professionals, business corporations and organizations contributed. The awards are supported by the OGCIO, HKPC and the HKTDC. Automated has received a Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme Gold Award, presented by the OGCIO and the EOC in recognition of the accomplishment in making Automated’s website accessible. Indeed, Automated has helped various public organizations to conform with the web accessibility standards, and facilitate all segments of the community including person with disabilities to enjoy easier access to online information and services.
Ongoing effort in taking up corporate social responsibilities
In addition to its excellent business performance over the past four decades, Automated spared no efforts in corporate social responsibility. This year, Automated received the Caring Company award presented by the HKCSS for the third consecutive year since 2011. This award commended organizations’ effort towards the community, employees and the environment. In addition, Automated was honored the Enterprise Caring Award under the 19th Outstanding Volunteer Scheme from the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council for the second time. This award is set up to recognize individuals or organizations that contribute in the voluntary services.
Over the years, Automated has actively supported corporate citizenship by promoting voluntary work, donating computers, providing IT support to non-governmental organization and offering free computer training courses to people in need, and employing the disadvantaged.
